‘Birds Win The Day Behind Big Arms

Wendell Floranus was as brilliant as advertised. He coasted through all seven innings without allowing a run while only surrendering two hits.

Daniel Roeser drove in two of the Bird’s five runs. Johnny Cole smashed three hits and newly acquired Eddie Malone added two hits of his own, including a ringing double off the left field fence.

As the Birds continue to inch toward the first-half crown and a guaranteed spot in the championship series, one can only have hope in their power pitching rotation.

Nuñez, Doxter, and Floranus would figure to be a tough series for any opponent in the best-of-three format.

There is still baseball to be played before we advance to the finals. Remember, don’t count your Redbirds before they hatch.

Double header tomorrow at 1pm!
