Last Chance U- Where Can You Find Them Now?

Last Chance U – Where Can You Find Them Now?

Last Chance U is a documentary series produced by Netflix. The series is about the East Mississippi Community College football team. The series focuses on players overcoming their situations or hardships to get to or get back to a Division I University or a four year college.
Some players on the show were kicked out of their previous schools and EMCC provided them with an opportunity to get them to the next level. I won’t be reflecting on any of the problems that they had, only where they’ll be in the 2017 season.

Dakota Allen-
At EMCC Allen recorded 117 tackles and averaged 9.8 tackles per game. He also had one fumble recovery and one interception. In the documentary it showed Dakota finding God and being baptized. Allen will be going back to Texas Tech, which was the school he was kicked out of.

De’Andre Johnson-
Johnson transferred out of Florida State after being involved in a situation off the field. Throughout the series Johnson showed great leadership and an ability to run the offense. He was the starting QB for EMCC, throwing for 2,646 yards and 26 touchdowns. Johnson will be going to Florida Atlantic University under Lane Kiffin.

Kam Carter-
Carter played on the defensive line and had the ability to take over games on the inside. During the 2016 season he had 36 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 interception. Carter will be taking his talents to Pittsburgh for the 2017 season.

Tim Bonner-
Bonner is listed at 6’5 225 pounds and he is an impressive pass rusher. Bonner recorded 37 tackles and had 5.5 sacks on the season. He also had one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Bonner will be joining De’Andre Johnson at Florida Atlantic for the 2017 football season.

Chauncey Rivers-
Rivers is a defensive end from Atlanta, GA. For the EMCC Lions he recorded 45 tackles and eight sacks. Rivers is a very impressive athlete that will contribute at his new school, Mississippi State.

Ezekiel Rose-
Rose played in 10 of the 12 games for the Lions. He plays on the defensive line and is listed at 6’3 270. During the season he had 35 tackles and 6.5 sacks. He also had two forced fumbles on the year. He’ll be attending West Virginia.

Isaiah Wright-
Wright battled injuries throughout the season with the Lions and will be attending Division II school West Georgia. He is scary athletic and I can definitely see him at the next level.
