McKay On The Mound

McKay On The Mound

Brendan McKay made his professional debut on the mound yesterday. He threw only two innings but we saw why he was arguably the most talented player coming out of the draft.
McKay was limited to only 31 pitches in his debut but he recorded 4 strikeouts and no hits with one walk. He hit 94 on the gun with his first pitch and never looked back.
He showed some rust with a few wild pitches but he had not pitched in a game situation for over a month.
McKay pitched at Louisville for three seasons and tallied a 32-10 record with an ERA of 2.23. He recorded 391 strikeouts in 315 innings which is very impressive.
There’s much more to come from Brendan McKay whether it’s on the mound or at the plate.

He’ll be special to watch.
