Most Intriguing Players That Could be on the move Before the NBA Trade Deadline
DeAndre Jordan, C, Clippers
There’s no denying Jordan’s work on the boards and his ability flying through the air on lobs and putbacks off the glass. He’s a very talented player and his name has been swirling around the NBA as to which team might snatch him up. The Clippers are currently 9th in the Western Conference and making the playoffs is realistic. Jordan might be expecting a max contract in the summer and the Clippers may not want to spend max money on him. There’s no telling what the Clippers would get back for Jordan, but it may be time to part ways and start focusing on building around Blake Griffin.
Paul George, SF, Thunder
The only reason the Thunder may part ways is if the season turns to turmoil. There’s been no indication George will re-sign with the team. The Thunder would be dumb if they don’t at least make a few calls to see what teams would offer. Paul George may leave this summer if the Thunder start to slip in the standings.
Marc Gasol, C. Grizzlies
Gasol is 32 years old and is still playing well but the Grizzlies are in the bottom part of the standings. The Grizzlies need to think about their future and how many more years Gasol has left in the tank. They should get a decent return for him.
Lou Williams, SG, Clippers
Lou Williams is having a career year this year for the Clippers. He’s been one of the best scorers in the league coming off the bench. If the Clippers decide to part ways with Jordan, they should also think about selling Lou Williams. Playoff teams will be very interested in this sixth man.
Nikola Mirotic, PF, Bulls
Mirotic wants out of Chicago after the incident involving Bobby Portis, which sidelined him at the beginning of the season. Mirotic is playing his best basketball and has completely turned this Bulls team around.
Tyreke Evans, PG, Grizzlies
Tyreke Evans is averaging a quiet 19.7 PPG, while shooting 47.1% from the field. Evans is playing so well on a struggling Memphis team they have to look to trade him.
Kent Bazemore, SG, Hawks
Kent Bazemore is still learning how to become a play maker but has shown he is able to do it. He can defend multiple positions but is he still part of the Hawks future plans?
Emmanuel Mudiay, PG, Nuggets
The Nuggets have a very guard-heavy team full of young talent. Mudiay looks like the odd man out even though he is still 21 years old. He’s making over 40% on this three-pointers this season but turnovers are still a problem. With him being so young he can still improve on that. A team with a veteran PG could gamble on Mudiay.
