Remember when we all thought the Bills were tanking because they traded Sammy Watkins? Well it was all a ruse. Not only do the Bills plan on competing this season, they replaced Watkins with Kelvin Benjamin, who they acquired at the trade deadline this week. Playoff football is a possibility in Buffalo but first they have to keep pace with the Patriots in the AFC East.
The Jets have proven to be quite the road block. They too were supposed to be tanking but instead have been a thorn in every team’s ass. Excluding a Week 2 ass whooping in Oakland the Jets have lost all of their games by less than a touchdown. The reason for that is they are not as bad as many believe. They simply need a quarterback which they hope to get in the upcoming draft.
When these two throw down it’s typically physical and close throughout. That was the story in Week 1 when the Bills were able to rally late for a 21-12 win. The same should happen tonight. Benjamin doesn’t figure to play a huge role tonight, but LeSean McCoy and active Bills defense should be enough to get the win.
Prediction: Bills 24, Jets 23
