Thursday Night Football: Redskins (-1.5) over COWBOYS

Okay here is what we know.

The Cowboys are without Zeke Elliott. Since Zeke started serving his suspension the team is 0-3. In that same span the offense has failed to crack double digit points. Dak Prescott simply has no other viable options other than himself and Dez Bryant who is also blanketed 90 percent of the time. You couple the offensive drought with a spotty defense and disaster is the result.

The Redskins know what it’s like to not be at full health but unlike the Cowboys they won’t be getting their pieces back. The good news is guys like Samaje Perine, Vernon Davis and Josh Doctson have stepped up. Despite a plethora of injuries the Skins remain alive by the skin of their teeth for a Wild Card spot.

This is a de facto playoff game. Whoever falls to 5-7 can start preparing their draft board or apply for the AFC. Kirk Cousins and the offense is the best unit on either side tonight. Perine has proven to be more than capable as the top back which is all Cousins really needs. 20 or even 17 might win this game and I’m still not sold on the Cowboys offense getting back on track. Dez vs. Josh Norman has some entertainment value but this is a game the Redskins must have and should have.

Prediction: Redskins 23, Cowboys 13
